FAQs for Healthcare Professionals & Panel Partners
Interested in becoming a PRECISE Panel Partner or integrating pharmacogenomics and nutrigenomics testing into your practice? Below are some commonly asked questions from healthcare professionals and organizations exploring collaboration with us.
QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Who can be a PRECISE Panel Partner?
Precision Diagnostics (hereby Global Precision Diagnostics Sdn Bhd) welcomes licensed wellness centres, clinics, hospitals, and pharmacies in Malaysia that are interested in offering pharmacogenomics and/or nutrigenomics testing to their patients and/or clients. A basic understanding of genetics is helpful, but we provide full training and support to get you started.
What support does PRECISE offer to renew panel partners?
PRECISE Panel Partner offers end-to-end onboarding, including:
+ Comprehensive product training for clinicians and staffs
+ Consultation scripts and patient communication materials
+ Access to our clinical team for interpretation support
+ Marketing collaterals to promote the service at your location
How are test results delivered and who interprets them?
All test results are delivered securely to our panel via the online portal. Patients will also receive a copy of their results through PreciseEHR, (our in-house app).
PRECISE Pharmacogenomics (PGx) reports are clinically actionable and must be interpreted by certified healthcare professionals. Nutrigenomics (NGx) reports, on the other hand, can be interpreted by certified dietitians or nutritionists.
Our clinical consultation team is available for joint review or consultation support, if needed.
What is included in the PRECISE PGx and NGx reports?
Our reports include:
* Genotype summary and phenotype interpretations
* Drug-gene or nutrient-gene interaction alerts
* Clinical recommendations and guidelines from CPIC, DPWG, and other recognized bodies
* Nutrient optimization insights based on genetics
Is there any cost to become a panel partner?
There are no upfront fees to become a panel partner. You only pay for the test kits requested, and you can choose to offer testing as a value-added service or resell it to patients.
*There is a pre-paid package that includes a branded set with flyers and posters, which can be used for distribution and product placement. However, please coordinate with the Person-in-Charge (PIC) for requests
Can I speak to someone for a clinical case discussion?
Yes. We offer clinical consultation support via our in-house practitioners. You may also book joint consultations with our genetic team for complex cases.
What is the turnaround time for test results?
Results are typically available within 4-6 weeks from the date the lab receives the sample. Urgent clinical cases can be prioritized upon request.
Do you offer CPD training or certifications?
Yes. We provide CPD-accredited training or CME training for healthcare professionals to help them integrate pharmacogenomics into daily clinical practice. Training modules include fundamentals in pharmacogenomics, clinical applications, and patient case studies.
How do I refer a patient for testing?
You may either:
(a) Conduct the buccal swab in-house and send it to us via our courier partner
(b) Provide the patient with a test kit to self-collect and return
All referral forms and logistics materials will be provided.
Can I offer genetic testing as part of a health screening package?
This question addresses the integration of genetic testing into broader health services, which may be more applicable to your business context.
