ICPaLM 2025
Pharmacogenomics Testing in Malaysia - Advancing Precision Medicine
International Congress of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine (ICPaLM)
Precision Diagnostics had the opportunity to participate in the recent ICPaLM event in 2025, highlighting the focus on Pharmacogenomics Testing in Malaysia. The International Congress of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine (ICPaLM) is a premier global platform where leading experts, researchers, and healthcare professionals gather to explore breakthroughs in diagnostics, laboratory medicine, and personalized healthcare. This year, we were thrilled to contribute to the future of precision medicine.
This year, our CEO, Dr. Rebecca Tay Sook Hui, was honored to present a session titled “Pharmacogenomics Testing in Malaysia: Catalyzing Precision Medicine,” a session that showcased how genetic insights are transforming patient care across the country.
Session Highlights
Bridging the Gap
Dr. Rebecca explained how pharmacogenomics testing helps predict drug responses more accurately, reduces adverse effects, and supports truly personalized treatment. These are important steps toward improving Malaysia’s healthcare system.
Real-World Impact
Case studies illustrated how PRECISE Pharmacogenomics is replacing the outdated one-size-fits-all model with targeted, data-driven approaches.
Collaboration for Progress
Dr. Rebecca called for stronger partnerships between clinicians, laboratories, and policymakers to help bring precision care into everyday medical practice. The message was met with great enthusiasm.
Dr. Rebecca had the privilege of welcoming Emeritus Professor Dr. Cheong Soon Keng, President of The College of Pathologists, Academy of Medicine of Malaysia, for a valuable discussion on the future of diagnostic excellence. Our team also had engaging conversations with doctors, researchers, and lab professionals. Many showed strong interest in exploring PRECISE Pharmacogenomics testing further.
Precision Diagnostics also conducted a giveaway of our PRECISE Pharmacogenomics test kits to the three lucky winners of our giveaway, experiencing how pharmacogenomics can optimize treatment outcomes.
