Ms. Maria is a Nursing Graduate from International Medical College (formerly known as IMC or IKSKP) with First Class Honours, also awarded the "Best Student" for the Lembaga Jururawat Malaysia (LJM) examination at the International Medical College (IMC). During her time at Pantai Hospital under the IHH Healthcare Berhad, Ms. Maria gained extensive experience in critical care nursing, quality and risk management, and hospital administration, after four (4) years appointed as the Assistant Manager for Quality, Risk and Medical Affairs. After eight (8) years at Pantai Hospital, she joined Beacon Hospital as a Quality Control Manager and eventually rose to Senior Manager in the top management. She joined Beacon Hospital after, starting as Senior Quality Assurance Manager to Manager of Corporate Strategy.

Before she was appointed by Beacon Hospital to establish Beacon Premier Wellness, a wellness-centric service due to her amazing progress serving with the corporate strategy team. In just five (5) months, leading up to her role as General Manager of Beacon Premier Wellness, she assembled a team of thirteen (13) certified dietitians, supported by administrative personnel, making it one of the largest teams of community dietitians in Malaysia, affiliated with Beacon Hospital. Experienced in Quality and Risk Management with a demonstrated history of working in the healthcare industry.

Skilled in Internal Audit, Patient Support, Continuous Improvement, and Healthcare Management. Strong professional with a Bachelor's degree focused in Registered Nursing, Nursing Administration, Nursing Research and Clinical Nursing. Ms. Maria embraced the opportunity of becoming the Director of Operations for Precision Diagnostics (PD) – Molecular Division, where she worked closely with management leaders to spearhead Molecular Services.

Maria's connections are vast from medical directors, management operators, etc, hosting Continuous Medical Education (CME) for clinics and hospitals. These connections also led to international training programs involving medical experts on a global scale.
